Job Overview:
The primary focus of the role is to contribute to the success of the investment team through supporting the sourcing, valuation, structuring and transaction execution and building value and financial returns within portfolio companies in Asia. As an integral member of a team focused on large scale growth investments you will also contribute to portfolio company growth through supporting the teams and provision of subject matter expertise in key markets throughout Asia.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively network and support the sourcing of deals in Asia that are aligned with LeapFrog’s Profit With Purpose ethos.
* Help drive the valuation, structuring and deal execution process.
* Contribute to value creation into a range of investments with the aim of maximising exits.
* Identify and recommend specialist local resources as required.
* Participate in the due diligence process of new investment opportunities and identify areas of value add in corporate governance, operational efficiencies and product development.
Qualifications and skills:
* Bachelors or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or Business related
* Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or Business related is favourable
* 4 – 7 years of experience in investment, insurance and financial services
* Emerging Markets experience, especially throughout Asia, is favourable
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate deals across financial services (including fintech) is essential
* An understanding of day-to-day management of insurance and financial services businesses, including fintech
* Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis, financial modelling, business assessment and valuation and corporate or strategic advisory work
* Superb communications skills and a high level of comfort in a variety of cultural settings
* A systematic approach to adding value through outstanding influencing and negotiation skills
* Comfort with fast-moving and hands-on work environments in multiple geographies
* A genuine passion for delivering significant social impact
* A willingness to travel internationally
* Operational understanding of insurance, banking, and other financial services is favourable

The successful candidate will be located in CL2’s London office.
