HgCapital is a private equity investor based in London and Munich. Established in 2002, HgCapital has assets under management of £5.2 billion, serving more than 100 institutional investors, including private and public pension funds, endowments, insurance companies and fund of funds.

With 100 employees, HgCapital invests in expanding segments of the TMT, Services, Industrials and Renewable Energy sectors across Western Europe.

HgCapital’s TMT team is focused on specific sub-sectors including vertical market application software, private electronic marketplaces, B2B media information/publishing and telecoms / datacentre operators. Existing investments in Services sector include companies that provide services across a range of industries from commercial laundry equipment distribution, business solutions for internationalisation, and vehicle leasing and fleet management

Based in Munich, the Industrials Team focus on investing in the specialised engineering or distribution, industrial electronics (automation and electronic components), automotive suppliers and specialist consumer product design and manufacture. In the renewable energy sector, HgCapital invests in utility-scale renewable energy projects in Western Europe using proven technologies such as onshore wind and small hydro.
