About the Job

We are seeking to add a key member to the Finance group. As their Controller, you will work closely with a team of six as well as the investment and operations teams within the firm.

As the Controller, you should be well-versed in the full lifecycle of the fund, from initial capital deployments to successful exits and distributions to the investors and the management company.

The firm conducts all accounting in-house, which presents challenges but also opportunities. We are seeking someone who is systems-savvy and an efficiency operator.

Valuation may also be part of your responsibilities—you will have an opportunity to partner with portfolio analytics and the investment team. Prior valuation experience is not required.

The finance team is relatively new but is composed of exceptional individuals with proven track records of success, skill, and adaptability. The group fosters a supportive culture committed to each member’s professional growth and success.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Master’s degree or CPA is a plus
* 10+ years of experience in public accounting and private accounting, or fund administration services, with a focus on investment partnerships
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general accounting software
* Experience with tools such as eFront/eInvest and Investment Café is a plus
* Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and team mentorship
* Problem-solving mindset paired with a curiosity to learn and grow
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete projects in a timely manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
