Ares Management, L.P. is a global alternative asset manager with approximately $86 billion of assets under management and approximately 800 employees. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices across the United States, Europe and Asia/Australia.

Founded in 1997, Ares operates four distinct investment groups that invest in the tradable credit, direct lending, private equity and real estate markets.

The Tradable Credit Group is a participant in the tradable with approximately $32 billion of assets under management. The group manages various types of investment funds, ranging from comingled and separately managed accounts for institutional investors to publicly traded vehicles and sub-advised funds for retail investors.

The Direct Lending Group has approximately $29 billion of assets under management across approximately 35 funds or investment vehicles. The group provides financing solutions to small-to-medium sized companies.

The Private Equity Group categorizes its investment activities into North American/European flexible capital, U.S. power and energy assets and China growth capital. With approximately $14 billion of assets under management, the group manages over 10 funds.

The Real Estate Group manages comprehensive public and private equity and debt strategies, with approximately $11 billion of assets under management. The Group focuses on lending and investing assets that have been under-managed or need repositioning in their markets.
